Our made-to-measure shutters start from £212.22 per square metre for the Antigua MDF range when you design and buy online. The other ranges are priced per square metre too, up to £324 for waterproof Java and the Solid Raised and Solid Shaker panels. The final price depends on the size of your windows, the style and the material. For our measure and fit service, book a free home survey and we will give you a written quote.
For most homes, yes. Shutters give you precise light control and privacy from one product, they add a layer of insulation at the window, and they are easy to keep clean. They are made to measure, so they fit your windows exactly and suit period and modern homes alike. All our shutters are guaranteed for 5 years, so they are a long-term improvement to the house rather than a short-term window dressing.
It depends on the room. Shutters are fixed to the window frame, so they feel like part of the house, last well and give fine control of light and privacy with tilting louvres. Blinds cost less to begin with and suit windows where shutters will not fit, such as skylights or very deep reveals. We make and fit both, so we can recommend the right answer for each window rather than selling one product.

We start with a free home survey: we measure every window, show you samples and talk through styles and materials. Once your shutters are made, the same local team fits them. Outside these areas you can design and buy online and fit them yourself.
Yes. Our online DIY service lets you design café style, full height and tier-on-tier shutters, enter your own measurements and order directly, with delivery across the UK mainland. Step-by-step measuring guides and installation videos take you through each stage, and our team is on hand by phone or email if you get stuck. The shutters carry the same quality guarantee as our fitted service.
Standard shutters take around 12 weeks from order confirmation, and this can increase at busy times of the year. Special shapes and custom colour matches take up to 14 weeks. If you need them sooner, air freight at a surcharge brings the lead time down to approximately 6 weeks. Once your shutters arrive, our team contacts you to book a fitting date that suits you.
We make café style (half height), full height, tier on tier, solid panel, bay window, shaped window, sliding and wooden shutters. Each style can be made in a choice of materials and finishes, so you can match the look of a room as well as the way you use it. We offer eight ranges: Antigua MDF, our best seller and excellent value; Bermuda ABS, a durable and lighter option for large windows; Java, which is 100% waterproof for bathrooms and kitchens; Hawaii, Cuba and Fiji hardwoods; and Solid Raised and Solid Shaker, with solid panels in place of louvres. Shutters add an insulating layer at the window. In colder months they help reduce heat loss through the glass, and in summer they help keep rooms cooler by limiting direct sunlight while the adjustable louvres still let air move. They are a practical addition to new or energy rated windows, and our MDF ranges offer particularly effective insulation through the natural thermal properties of engineered wood.

After installation we continue to support you, and our maintenance service can adjust, repair or refit shutters if you ever move them or change your windows.
